Michel Gantois, Group CEO

Michel has been a CEO and CFO in several electricity and hydrogen companies in various countries. He focuses on developing, growing and transforming businesses and led companies controlled by Engie in Asia, Latin America and Australia. He also served in senior financial roles in the USA and China.

Michel studied finance and economics and is passionate about engaging with customers and applying new technology.

Marcel Galjee, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)

Marcel builds on a strong track record in energy and initiated the Netherlands’ first large-scale green hydrogen projects in his prior roles as Vice President Energy & New Business for Nobian and AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals. Before that, he worked as an international consultant at PwC and in various energy related functions at Vattenfall Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands. Marcel studied Business Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and completed executive programs at Harvard and Stanford University.

Victor Salet, Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Victor has many years of experience in manufacturing and technology leadership roles in the UK, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands. Most recently he was responsible for the AkzoNobel and Nobian chemical site in Rotterdam, including the operation of Europe’s largest single-line electrolyser. He is a Supervisory Board Member of the STC Group, a worldwide operating educational and research institution for the shipping, logistics, transport and process industries. Victor has a Master’s Degree in Mining and Metallurgy from the Delft University of Technology and a MBA from RSM Rotterdam.

Joost Sandberg, Chief Development Officer (CDO)

As Commercial Director at HyCC, Joost Sandberg is responsible for building our business. The team actively drives opportunities in green hydrogen and circular chemistry, resulting in a strong international project business development portfolio. Joost has over 16 years of experience in the energy sector, in the field of strategy, M&A, business development and renewable energy sourcing, including at RWE, AkzoNobel, Nouryon, and Nobian. Joost has a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from the Delft University of Technology.
