Refineries

Hydrogen is used at modern refineries for the desulphirization of fuels, making them cleaner. Replacing existing hydrogen from fossil sources with green hydrogen is a quick and important first step to reduce CO2-emissions.

In the long-term, refineries will no longer rely on fossil sources but will continue to play an important role for the production of net-zero fuels such as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
